Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2 October 2026

1. Who we are

This website is the invitation to the official launch of “The Spy of Estoril” by Paulo Gomes, and is run by Excalibur Editora (the data controller). Contact for all privacy matters: [email protected].

2. Use of the website

The website is informational and is used to RSVP to the event. By using it, you accept these terms. Event information (date, time and venue) may be changed by the organisers, and we will try to notify those who have confirmed.

3. Intellectual property

The texts, images, video, music and visual identity of the website belong to Excalibur Editora, Paulo Gomes or their respective rights holders, and may not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without prior written permission.

4. Liability

We do our best to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee it will always be free of errors or interruptions. We are not responsible for the content of third-party sites linked from this website, such as the venue map.

5. Personal data and emails received (GDPR)

Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and applicable Portuguese law.

What data we collect. Only what you provide in the RSVP form: name, email, number of guests and, optionally, a message.

How it reaches us. When you submit the form, your data travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to the website server, which immediately sends it, by authenticated and encrypted email, to [email protected]. The website does not store your data in a database: it is kept only in that email.

What we use it for (purpose). Solely to manage the guest list for the launch, reply to those who write to us, and send practical information about the event.

Legal basis. Your consent, given by voluntarily emailing us (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Who has access. Only the Excalibur Editora team involved in organising the event. The website and email are hosted by Hostinger, which acts as a processor. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for commercial purposes.

How long we keep it. Up to 30 days after the event, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. After that, the emails containing RSVP data are deleted.

Your rights. At any time you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of or objection to processing, data portability, and withdraw your consent (without affecting processing already carried out), by writing to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD (cnpd.pt).

6. Cookies and external services

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies and does not profile visitors. To work, it loads fonts and libraries from content delivery networks (Google Fonts, jsDelivr, cdnjs and Iconify), so your IP address is necessarily seen by those services, under their own privacy policies.

7. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the version in force is always the one published on this page, with the update date above. Portuguese law applies, and the courts of Lisbon have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to consumer rights granted by law.
